Iran ‘Light Sight’ grabs award at Italy Dieciminuti filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Light Sight’ has won an award at Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian short film ‘Light Sight’ has won the best animation award at the 12th edition of Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Moslem Tabatabaei, the 3D animation has won awards in nine other international festivals before.

“The animation has one character and one setting,” the director of ‘Light Sight’ told the media. “The character tries to escape the room to get to the light he sees outside”.

The seven-minute animation took part in the competition section of the Italian international short film festival.

Dieciminuti Film Festival is an Italian film festival that was able to quickly become one of the most important events dedicated to short films in Italy.

More than 6,000 short were shown in the first eleven editions of the festival which attracted nearly 10,000 spectators.  

The event is structured in various competitive sections: Official Selection (for short films up to 10 minutes), Extralarge (for shorts between 11 and 15 minutes released in the current year), Animations (animations for up to 10 minutes) and Visti da Vicino (dedicated to short films from the province of Frosinone).
